What does Gun N Roses and Vampires have to do with looking and feeling great…..

This is a pic of me at the Gun N Roses concert on the weekend…. Old school! ha haWell let me explain….

You see in life there are things that provide you with energy and makes you feel great and things that take energy away and makes you feel bad. 

I call the ones that take energy from you Energy Vampires and we all have them in our life.

When you’re feeling great and have less stress in your life you eat better and make healthier choices.

When you have stress in your life it brings you down, not only a physical level but an emotional one as well.

At a physiological level when you are under stress you use a lot more glucose and it’s a reason you crave sugary and salty foods.

This can turn into a huge binge session which you want to avoid

You want to make sure you do not have too much stress when it comes to living a great life.

Here’s a little exercise you can use.

Get a piece of paper and make 2 columns like the example  below and start filling it out.

Under Good For Me write down all the things that makes you feel more alive, happy and healthy.

Under the Bad For Me write down things that drain you, takes away your energy and health.

 

Good for me                                                       Bad for me         

Friendship with Shannon                      Smoking and drinking

Gym                                                         Being a couch potato

Eating regular meals                                 Not exercising

Singing and dancing                                  Not telling people how I feel

Being at the Beach                                       Staying up too late

Travelling                                                          Being around Bob

 

 Look I know there are people you cannot avoid so just limit the amount of time if possible you are in their presence.

As they say, you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family.

How lucky are my family to have me!! 🙂 ha ha

After you write down each bad for me you can also ask yourself the following questions…

What are you feeling?

What are you wanting?

What are you needing

What are you fearing…
